Women’s Pre-conference to the World Water Forum: Day 1

The Women’s Preconference, hosted by the Women for Water Partnership, began today in Marseille, France. They Deputy Mayor of Marseille, Martine Vassal, gave a beautiful welcome note on behalf of the host city. The first thematic session was “Women’s Role in Water and Food Security.” Representatives spoke from the Armenian Women for Health and a Healthy Environment (AWHHE), Soroptimist International, UN Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO), and Mama-86.
